At Interview Igniter, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This policy outlines how we collect, use, and disclose your information when you use our app.
Information collection
We collect personal information that you provide when you create an account, such as your name and email address. We also collect usage data, such as the pages you visit, the features you use, and other actions you take within the web app.
Use of information
We use your personal information to provide and improve our app, communicate with you, and personalize your experience. We also use usage data to analyze trends, enhance our web app's functionality, and tailor our content to better serve your needs.
Interview analysis
When you analyze an interview, we process the transcript or audio recording you submit, along with any optional resume, job description, company, role, or notes. Audio is sent to our transcription provider to create a transcript, and the transcript and optional context are sent to our AI provider to generate feedback. Interview Igniter does not save the raw audio recording. We save the transcript, optional context, and feedback report in your account so you can revisit or download them. You can delete a saved analysis report and its associated transcript and context from the report page. We retain usage counts to enforce the free-report allowance; deleting a report does not reset that allowance.
Information sharing and disclosure
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information with service providers that help us operate the app, including hosting, authentication, payments, and AI transcription and feedback. These providers process the information needed to deliver those services. We may also disclose information as required by law or with your consent. We may share aggregated or anonymized information that cannot be used to identify you with third parties for research, analytics, or marketing purposes.
Resume tools and AI processing
When you use resume tools, we process your uploaded file and send extracted resume text and any job description you provide to our AI provider to generate questions or suggestions. The resume optimizer processes the original file during the request. Resume-based interview practice saves structured resume details in your account so you can reuse them. AI providers process submitted content under their own terms and retention practices.
Cookies, analytics and the sales assistant
Necessary cookies support authentication, security, purchases and your preferences. We load Google Analytics, Google Ads, LinkedIn Insight, Hotjar, Vercel Analytics and the optional Salesably assistant only after you choose Accept all. You can choose Reject nonessential and still use the site. Cookie preferences in the footer lets you change your choice. Withdrawing acceptance reloads the page to stop active tracking and clears known first-party tracker cookies and storage that this site can access. This does not delete data already received by providers or cookies that belong to their domains.
Security
We take appropriate measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
